Assessment Policy

Purpose

FCO assessments are designed to help understand a student's knowledge, skills, learning levels and areas for development. They are intended to support learning, guidance and development, not to label or rank a student's overall ability.

Assessment Process

• Registration through the website or through a participating school or institution
• Confirmation of eligibility and applicable class category
• Communication of the assessment format, duration and schedule
• Participation through a question paper or digital assessment, as applicable
• Submission of responses within the permitted time
• Evaluation according to the applicable assessment methodology
• Result generation and release
• Issue of reports and certificates where applicable to the program

Assessment Integrity

Participants must not:

• Cheat or attempt to cheat in any form
• Use unauthorised assistance, material or tools where prohibited
• Share questions or answers during an active assessment
• Attempt to manipulate results, scores or rankings
• Use another person's account or allow another person to use theirs
• Attempt unauthorised access to the assessment platform

Consequences of Integrity Breaches

Where an integrity breach is identified, FCO may cancel the attempt, withhold or withdraw results and certificates, restrict future participation, and inform the participating school or institution where relevant. Decisions are taken carefully and the participant is given an opportunity to respond where practical.

Assessment Results

• Results are generated based on the applicable assessment methodology for that program.
• Results should be interpreted as an educational assessment outcome and a development indicator.
• Results are not automatically equivalent to school examination marks or board examination results.
• Results must not be represented as a guarantee of future academic or career success.

Re-evaluation, Corrections and Disputes

Concerns may be reported to our team, and should include the student's registration details and a clear description of the issue. We accept reports relating to:

• Technical issues faced during the assessment
• Incorrect student details on a report or certificate
• Result discrepancies
• Duplicate registrations or duplicate attempts
• Any other assessment-related concern

How Concerns Are Handled

Write to support@fcofoundation.org with the details. We acknowledge the concern, review the relevant records, carry out further verification where required, and communicate the outcome. Where a correction is warranted, an updated report or certificate is issued.

Assessment Changes

FCO may modify assessment schedules, formats, sections or procedures where reasonably necessary, including for operational, technical or academic reasons. Changes are communicated to registered participants and participating institutions.
