Photography, Video & Media Policy
How photographs, video and stories from FCO programs are captured, consented to, published and withdrawn.
FCO Assessment Foundation documents its programs to share its work responsibly. This policy explains how photographs, video and participant stories are captured, used and withdrawn.
Consent
Photography and video recording at an FCO activity require the permission of the host school or institution. Where minors are involved, parental or guardian consent is obtained where applicable. Anyone may decline to be photographed, and that choice is respected without any effect on participation.
Where Media May Be Used
- FCO website and official social media channels
- Program reports, presentations and newsletters
- Promotional and awareness materials for FCO programs
- Press or partner communication, where permitted
Responsible Use of Student Images and Stories
Images and stories are used to represent participants with dignity. FCO does not publish a student's full contact details, address, assessment scores or other sensitive information alongside their image, and does not unnecessarily identify individual students. Content that could embarrass or place a participant at risk is not published.
Third-Party Photography
Media, partners, volunteers and visitors may photograph or record at an FCO activity only with prior permission, and are expected to follow this policy and the Child & Student Safeguarding Policy.
Storage and Access
Program media is stored with restricted access and is used only for legitimate organisational purposes. It is not sold or shared for unrelated commercial use.
Withdrawal and Removal Requests
A participant, parent, guardian or institution may ask for a photograph, video or story to be removed from FCO channels by writing to support@fcofoundation.org. We act on such requests within a reasonable time, noting that material already printed or shared externally may not always be fully recoverable.
